Sound Project

 The sound project is where me and my partner created a video with only sound, no visuals and no dialogue. Our outline is right below.

Scene: Walking to fishing spot 1. Crunching of leaves when walking to the river. (foley) 2. Slight wind 3. Trees rustling in the wind 4. Birds chirping

 Scene: Arrive at Fishing Spot 1. noise of river running (background) 2. Drop of backpack (foley) 3. Fishing rod cast sound (foley) 4. Splash of cast hitting the water (foley) 5. Moment of silence (Nature- river) 6. Splashing of water (fish) 7. Fishing rod reel in sound 8. Pulling of the fishing rod 9. Splash of water (fish) 10. More rod reel in sound 11. Fish flopping around on land 12. Hands touching the slimy fish 13. Dripping of water(background) 14. Sound of picture being taken 15. Splash of water (releasing the fish) 16. Fish swimming away(sound fades)

We approached this project very poorly at first, but found the right idea towards the end of our brainstorming process. At the beginning we had to big and too generic ideas, so we finally decided on doing something simple but unique. That idea was fishing, fishing is not shown in many movies and I think our foley sounds were very unique because of that.

For us the hard part was coming up with an idea because we were overcomplicating it, but once we found the right fit the project went smoothly from there. I believe our project was very good and I hope whoever is reading this agrees also.

One Word Film

 The purpose of this project was to use all the techniques about editing, shots etc. and put them all together by trying to show a story about a word. My word was Optimistic and we did someone opening a present on their birthday and being extremely happy about it. I used many close ups of the smile and face to help the viewer understand that the project is based off the word optimistic. This project was very difficult because we could not use sound or any words, but I believe we had a good project.

Camera Shots Project

 The directions for this activity was to use camera shots and techniques on an inanimate object to create a story. Once me and my partner decided what was happening in each photo, we planned out each shot and technique for each of the 15 photos in the short story. We had to figure out a way to use the certain angle and link it to the idea of what we wanted in each photo. I one positive thing we did was to use a variety of shots within our story. One thing we could improve on is giving each technique and shot a deeper meaning, rather than what is just obvious
